The Date: November 7th 2002

The Venue: Easons Bookshop, Co. Cork

The Picture: Roy Keane signs copies of his new book 'The Truth' for fans in Easons in Cork.

The Story: Although he has recently been appointed as new Ireland manager Martin O'Neill's number two, in 2002 Roy Keane's career was at a very different point. Still a Manchester United player at this point, he would later return to the Ireland set up in 2004, this time with Brian Kerr as manager of the team. Unfortunately he would never get the chance to play at a major tournament with Ireland again, and hung up his international boots for good in 2006.

Inpho was there that day eleven years ago in a packed Easons to see up close the popularity Keane had on these shores. It still exists to this day, and whether he is signing books or in the dugout with Martin O'Neill for Ireland, Inpho will be there to see what happens next.
