Guinness Rugby Writers of Ireland Player of the Year Winners 19/11/2024
Pictured is Ireland and Leinster backrow Caelan Doris, who today has been named Guinness Rugby Writers of Ireland Men’s Player of the Year acknowledging an outstanding 2023/2024 season for both club and country. The backrow was one of the standout players as the Irish Men’s team claimed back-to-back Guinness Six Nations Championship titles, along with being recently appointed as the Leinster and Ireland Senior Men’s captain.
Also pictured is Ireland Women’s young star, Aoife Wafer, who today was awarded the Guinness Rugby Writers of Ireland Women’s XV’s Player of The Year. The Wexford native has played a vital role in the success of the Ireland Women’s Senior team across the 2024 Guinness Six Nations in qualifying for WXV 1 in September in Vancouver and the World Cup in England in 2025. The backrow has a bright future ahead.
