2024 Very Camogie League Launch, Croke Park, Dublin 25/1/2024
Very Ireland and the Camogie Association are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Very Camogie Leagues. The event, held at Croke Park, was graced by the presence of Áine Keane (Galway), Lorraine Bray (Waterford), Norette Casey (Kerry), Molly Lynch (Cork), Eleanor Treacy (Carlow), Aine O’Loughlin (Clare), and Siohban Donnelly (Tyrone).
Very aims to honour the achievements of our players both on and off the field, while illuminating the unique magic that defines our beloved sport.
Division 2B of the Very Camogie Leagues is set to kick off on Saturday, January 27th, with an exciting lineup. The 2023 League Champions, Cork, will face off against Tipperary, while Wexford will take on Clare and Galway will go head-to-head with Kilkenny, who were previously defeated by Cork in a final replay at The Ragg in Tipperary.
On February 17th, the Very Camogie Leagues Round 1 for Division 1A, 2B, and 2A will kick off an exciting series of matches. In Division 1A, fans can anticipate thrilling encounters with Kilkenny versus Cork, Clare versus Galway, and Tipperary versus Waterford. Notably, Waterford secured promotion to Division 1A after a triumphant victory over Wexford in the 2023 Division 1B showdown at FBD Semple Stadium.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Carlow is poised to leave their mark on Division 2A, following their nail-biting one-point victory over Armagh in the 2023 Division 3A final. They will open their campaign against Derry in Round 1, while Meath takes on Cavan, and Offaly faces Westmeath.
Additionally, the Very Camogie Leagues Division 3B will feature thrilling matchups, including Down versus Antrim and Dublin versus Limerick, adding to the excitement of the day's events.
Kerry will embark on their journey in Division 1B in 2024 after clinching victory in a thrilling battle against Meath, emerging victorious by just one point in Division 2A. On the 24th of February our Division 1B Down v Antrim, Wexford v Dublin, Kerry v Limerick, Division 3A with Kildare versus Laois, Armagh versus Roscommon and Division 4 Wicklow will take on Louth, Tyrone will go head-to-head with Mayo.
Mark your calendars for the Division 2B and 3B finals, scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd. Subsequently, on April 13th, the finals for Division 1B, 3A, and Division 4 will take place, followed by a thrilling doubleheader on Sunday, April 14th, where the Very Camogie League finalists in Divisions 1A and 2A will vie for glory.

Those who earn the opportunity to compete in their respective finals will have endured tough battles across our counties to secure their place.
